Description:
Number of seconds that the buffer overflows in the selected interval. This records the count of the number of seconds the Receive (Eth to TDM) buffer overflows in the selected interval.
What is ip2IfIntervalStatBufOverflows?
This counter records the number of seconds during a measurement interval when the Ethernet-to-TDM receive buffer overflowed, indicating packets were dropped due to processing capacity being exceeded. Each second during which an overflow occurred increments this counter. An operator would monitor this to detect sustained traffic patterns that overwhelm the interface, indicating a need for bandwidth upgrades or load balancing.
