ip2IfCurrentStatBufUnderflows

Module: RAD-MIB

OID (symbolic): RAD-MIB::ip2IfCurrentStatBufUnderflows

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.164.3.1.6.7.10.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description:

Number of seconds that the buffer underflows in the current interval. This records the count of the number of seconds the Receive (Eth to TDM) buffer underflows in the current interval. In the case of a continuous underflow caused by a loss of Frame flow, a single buffer underflow should be counted.

What is ip2IfCurrentStatBufUnderflows?

This OID holds a counter of how many seconds experienced buffer underflow during the current measurement interval. Monitoring this tells you if the device is losing data because it cannot keep up with incoming traffic on its Ethernet-to-TDM converter. An operator would watch this to detect if a link is congested or if timing synchronization is failing.
