Description:
The number of times the associated ethIfIntervalInPauseFrames counter has overflowed in the interval.
What is ethIfIntervalOverflowInPauseFrames?
This OID holds a counter that tracks how many times the pause-frame counter has wrapped around (overflowed) during a measurement interval. Pause frames are used to tell upstream equipment to temporarily stop sending data when a port gets congested; monitoring overflows reveals sustained congestion events. A network engineer would check this during troubleshooting when devices report that traffic is being dropped or delayed on a link.
