Description:
The number of times the associated ethIfCurrentOutOctets counter has overflowed in the current interval.
What is ethIfCurrentOverflowOutOctets?
This object counts the number of times the outgoing bytes counter on an Ethernet interface has overflowed and wrapped around in the current measurement interval. Operators monitor this to detect when interfaces are transmitting at unexpectedly high rates, which may indicate configuration errors, runaway traffic, or hardware problems. It provides a way to track counter wraparounds on 32-bit systems.
