Description:
The number of times the associated ethIfCurrentOutMulticastFrames counter has overflowed in the current interval.
What is ethIfCurrentOverflowOutMulticastFrames?
This counter tracks how many times the multicast frame counter for an Ethernet interface has overflowed (rolled over from maximum to zero) during the current measurement interval. Since 32-bit counters have finite limits, this overflow counter allows operators to calculate the true total by combining it with the main counter value. System administrators use this to accurately measure extremely high multicast traffic rates on busy network interfaces.
