Description:
Enable/ disable AIS transmit when Ethernet (for TDMoIP) line is disconnected.
What is dsx3AisEnable?
This object enables or disables automatic transmission of an Alarm Indication Signal (AIS) on a DS3 link when the Ethernet line carrying TDMoIP (Time Division Multiplexing over IP) becomes disconnected. AIS signals downstream equipment that the link is down, triggering failover procedures rather than silent failure. An operator would enable this feature to ensure rapid detection of TDMoIP link failures and proper alarm propagation to dependent systems.
