Description:
ForceSwitch - will force Switching from the working link to the backup link. Afterwards the agent will set atmNteProtectionSwitchLink back to off(1). atmNteProtectionMode must be either mspOn or pathOn.
What is atmNteProtectionSwitchLink?
This read-write control object forces an immediate switch from the working ATM link to the backup protection link in a dual-link redundancy configuration. When set to the force value, the agent will automatically revert this parameter back to 'off' after the switchover occurs. An operator would use this during maintenance or when investigating link failures to manually redirect traffic to the backup path.
