This trap is sent upon UAS start or end per VP.

What is atmAceAlarmVpUAS?

This is an alarm notification (trap) that fires when an Unavailable Seconds (UAS) fault condition starts or ends on an ATM Virtual Path, indicating when the VP becomes unavailable or recovers. UAS measures periods where the connection cannot carry traffic due to failures. Operations centers use this alert to track VP health and be notified of outages in real-time.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' RAD-MIB::atmAceAlarmVpUAS
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.164.6.1.12.0.46

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:50453->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
