atmAceAlarmUAS
Module: RAD-MIB
OID (symbolic): RAD-MIB::atmAceAlarmUAS
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.164.6.1.12.0.35
Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description:
This trap is sent upon UAS start or end per port.
What is atmAceAlarmUAS?
This notification (trap) is generated when a Unavailable Signal (UAS) alarm condition starts or ends on an ATM port. UAS indicates that the port has lost its signal or is unable to receive valid data, which is a critical link health indicator. An operator would monitor for this trap to detect and respond to physical layer failures on ATM circuits.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' RAD-MIB::atmAceAlarmUAS snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.164.6.1.12.0.35
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
Example snmptrapd log entry:
zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:49768->[192.168.30.10]:162]: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (235744360) 27 days, 6:50:43.60 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: RAD-MIB::atmAceAlarmUAS
SNMPv3 example:
snmptrap -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3user -a SHA -A "AuthPass1" -x AES -X "PrivPass1" <manager> '' RAD-MIB::atmAceAlarmUAS
