What is atmAceAlarmLOP?
This OID is an alert that triggers when a network device loses pointer synchronization on an ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) connection. Loss of Pointer means the device can no longer read incoming data packets correctly because it's lost track of where each frame begins. A network operator checks this alarm when ATM connections start dropping packets or becoming unreliable.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
