Description:

The port number this alarm refers to. If the port number is irrelevant to this alarm (if it is a system/card level alarm) the value will be 9999.

What is alrBufPort?

This field identifies the port number on which an alarm or event occurred within the alarm buffer log. A network operator uses this to pinpoint which physical port or interface is experiencing problems or generating alarms. When the alarm is system-level rather than port-specific, the value is set to 9999 to indicate that no particular port is involved.
