Module: RAD-MIB

OID (symbolic): RAD-MIB::agnStationClkFailureTrap

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.164.6.1.0.23

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description:

This trap is sent upon Station Clock failure.

What is agnStationClkFailureTrap?

This OID represents an alert that fires when the local station clock (a reference timing source) fails or becomes unavailable. The trap notifies the operator immediately when synchronization is lost. An operator would set up monitoring on this trap to quickly detect timing source failures and switch to backup clocks before downstream equipment drifts out of sync.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' RAD-MIB::agnStationClkFailureTrap
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.164.6.1.0.23

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
