Description: Covers configuration, port statistics, login sessions, and fabric topology information for QLogic Fibre Channel HBAs.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is QLOGIC-MIB?
QLOGIC-MIB is a QLOGIC Corporation (enterprise OID 1663) proprietary MIB extending the standard FIBRE-CHANNEL-FE-MIB's fcFxPortPhysTable with volatile control objects for ports on a QLogic SANbox Fibre Channel switch. Its port-physical table, keyed by module/port index, records admin/operational status, while a port-status table records operating/admin mode, alongside port-link-down/link-up notifications. As a status/notification MIB it lets an administrator confirm Fibre Channel port operational status and get alerted on link-state transitions on a QLogic SANbox switch. It is deployed on QLogic Corporation SANbox Fibre Channel switches. Engineers can download the QLOGIC-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in QLOGIC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- QLogic Corporation SANbox Fibre Channel switches
Monitoring Examples
An administrator receives qlSB2PortLinkDown to identify a Fibre Channel port that dropped link on a QLogic SANbox switch.
What Can Be Monitored
- Fibre Channel port operational status and link-state transitions
Imported Objects
From SNMPv2-SMI
