qlSB2PortLinkUp

Module: QLOGIC-MIB

OID (symbolic): QLOGIC-MIB::qlSB2PortLinkUp

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1663.1.3.0.11

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: A linkUp trap signifies that the SNMP entity, acting in an agent role, has detected that the fcQxPortPhysOperStatus object for one of its communication links has entered the online state from some other state. The current state is indicated by the included value of fcQxPortPhysOperStatus.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' QLOGIC-MIB::qlSB2PortLinkUp
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.1663.1.3.0.11

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:50447->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (66821391) 7 days, 17:36:53.91
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: QLOGIC-MIB::qlSB2PortLinkUp
