What Is QLGC-QLASPTrap-MIB?
QLGC-QLASPTrap-MIB is a QLogic vendor MIB defining SNMP trap notifications for the QLASP (QLogic Adapter Software Program) NIC teaming driver, used to bond multiple QLogic network adapters for failover and load balancing on server hosts. It is a notifications-only MIB, so it does not carry configuration or polled state tables itself, but instead defines the trap events a QLASP-managed teaming driver emits. Monitoring Examples
This MIB defines trap objects only (no sample runtime data tables were available), so a realistic scenario is a management station configured to receive QLASP traps and alert when a failover trap fires, indicating the active NIC in a team went down and the standby adapter took over. A link-state-change trap on a teamed adapter would similarly flag a physical cable or switch-port fault requiring investigation before the redundant capacity is exhausted.
