Category: Switching
Description: Manages the Dell PowerConnect 3048 switch, covering port configuration, forwarding database, and VLAN management objects.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is POWERCONNECT3048-MIB?
POWERCONNECT3048-MIB is a Dell PowerConnect 3048 switch proprietary MIB (enterprise OID 674) managing SNMP community strings, trap-host destinations, and basic system/spanning-tree control. Its objects cover a community table (name, get/set/trap permissions, status), a trap-host table (IP, community, status, authorization), serial baud rate, system/statistics reset actions, switch operational state, spanning-tree on/off, and software/hardware chip-set version and boot mode/FTP-server configuration. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm which SNMP communities and trap destinations are configured on a PowerConnect 3048 switch. It is deployed on the Dell PowerConnect 3048 switch. Engineers can download the POWERCONNECT3048-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in POWERCONNECT3048-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Dell PowerConnect 3048 switch
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks hostTable and commTable to confirm which trap destination and SNMP community are configured on a Dell PowerConnect 3048 switch.
What Can Be Monitored
- SNMP community/trap-host configuration
