atmPortTiming

Module: PORT-MIB

OID (symbolic): PORT-MIB::atmPortTiming

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5812.3.6.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Timing Mode

What is atmPortTiming?

This selects the ATM port's clock source as either internal, using the local oscillator, or loop, deriving timing from the recovered receive clock. An admin sets one port to internal as the timing reference and others to loop to synchronize downstream, similar in concept to the timing settings on the DS1 and SONET port tables. Mismatched timing configuration across an ATM network can cause cell slips.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5812.3.6.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> PORT-MIB::atmPortTiming

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5812.3.6.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> PORT-MIB::atmPortTiming.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5812.3.6.1.3.1 i <value>
