Description: Defines the SMI structure for Ericsson Danmark interface-related MIB subtrees on the IP DSLAM platform.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is PEA-INTERFACES-SMI?
PEA-INTERFACES-SMI is a Structure of Management Information module from Ericsson (Ericsson Danmark) that defines the OID subtree structure for interface-related MIB modules on the IP DSLAM platform. Like other SMI modules, it provides no runtime objects itself but establishes the naming hierarchy that interface-focused MIBs on this platform register under. It has no direct monitoring capability for hardware or software status since it contains no leaf objects, tables, or traps. It functions as a structural dependency for other Ericsson interface MIBs (analogous to how IF-MIB anchors interface objects in standards-based SNMP). It is typically loaded only as a prerequisite when working with the fuller set of Ericsson IP DSLAM interface MIBs. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the PEA-INTERFACES-SMI file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in PEA-INTERFACES-SMI. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Ericsson IP DSLAM (DSL access equipment)
Monitoring Examples
This module defines only the OID tree structure for interface-related objects and contains no data objects, tables, or notifications (sample_objects is empty), so there is no concrete monitoring scenario to describe here; its purpose is purely to provide a consistent namespace for other Ericsson interface MIBs to build upon.
