What Is NETGEAR-REF-MIB?

It is deployed alongside Netgear's other enterprise MIB modules wherever a ProSafe/Smart managed switch is polled by an NMS, acting as the shared identity layer rather than a monitoring target itself, and a NETGEAR-REF-MIB download is typically bundled together with the vendor's system and interface MIB files rather than distributed standalone.
