All MIBs › PDN-ETHER-MIB
Category: DSL and Broadband Access
Description: Manages Ethernet interface configuration, auto-negotiation settings, and per-port traffic statistics on Paradyne DSL access devices.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is PDN-ETHER-MIB?
PDN-ETHER-MIB is a Paradyne Corporation proprietary MIB (built on PDN-HEADER-MIB/PDN-TC) reporting Ethernet-port configuration on Paradyne access equipment. Its table, keyed by port, records duplex mode, management type, and reset state. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm duplex-mode settings on an Ethernet port and trigger a port reset on a Paradyne access device. It is deployed on Paradyne Corporation access equipment. Engineers can download the PDN-ETHER-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in PDN-ETHER-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Paradyne Corporation access equipment
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks pdnPortConfigEthernetDuplexMode to confirm an Ethernet port's duplex setting matches its connected switch on a Paradyne access device.
What Can Be Monitored
- Ethernet port duplex/management configuration
