PBN-ROOT

Defines the root OID node for Panasonic Broadcast and Television enterprise MIB subtrees and product registrations.

PBN-ROOT is a minimal vendor MIB that defines only the root private-enterprise OID node ("pbn") for Panasonic Broadcast and Television Systems, serving purely as a registration point under which Panasonic's actual product-specific MIB modules attach their object subtrees. It does not itself define any manageable data objects, counters, or traps - it is purely a namespace/registration module. Consequently it has no role in monitoring hardware or software status directly; any monitoring capability comes from other Panasonic MIBs that register beneath this root, not from this module itself. Its only "dependency" is structural: every Panasonic Broadcast MIB module built on top of it relies on this root OID for its object identifier tree. It's referenced internally whenever a Panasonic broadcast/television product needs a private enterprise OID base, but the root module itself is not deployed as a standalone monitored entity. Engineers can download the PBN-ROOT file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

This module defines only the "pbn" root OBJECT IDENTIFIER node with no runtime data objects, tables, or traps, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe - it exists solely as an OID anchor for other Panasonic Broadcast MIBs to build on.
