Category: Storage

Description: Defines SNMP trap notifications for fault and threshold events on Isilon OneFS scale-out NAS clusters.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ONEFS-TRAP-MIB?

ONEFS-TRAP-MIB is an Isilon (later Dell EMC) proprietary MIB (built on ONEFS-MIB) defining notifications for the OneFS clustered-storage operating system. Its objects cover severity-level traps (critical, warning, info, emergency, default) and category-specific traps covering node health, Windows networking, processes, power, disk space, restripe operations, general events, NVRAM, temperature, fan, filesystem, disk, CPU, test, licensing, snapshots, and SmartQuotas. As a notification MIB it lets an administrator get alerted, categorized by both severity and subsystem, on an Isilon (Dell EMC) OneFS storage cluster. It is deployed on Isilon (Dell EMC) OneFS clustered-storage platforms. Engineers can download the ONEFS-TRAP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ONEFS-TRAP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Isilon (Dell EMC) OneFS clustered-storage platforms

Monitoring Examples

An administrator receives oneFSTrapDisk to investigate a disk-health event reported by an Isilon (Dell EMC) OneFS storage cluster.
