What Is NTNTECH-ROOT-MIB?
NTNTECH-ROOT-MIB defines the top-level OID naming tree for Paradyne Corporation's Net to Net Technologies (nTech) Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) product family. It belongs to the DSL access equipment technology area. As a root/registration module it defines no data objects itself, only the branch structure, chassis, interface module, and their respective configuration/status sub-MIBs, under which the functional nTech MIBs are organized. It therefore does not directly expose hardware/software status; rather it is the organizing namespace that the referenced chassis and interface module MIBs use when reporting such status, such as chassis health or interface module state. It is a dependency root consumed by the companion ntntechChassisConfigurationMIB, ntntechChassisStatusMIB, and ntntechInterfaceModuleConfigurationMIB modules, and administrators typically keep an NTNTECH-ROOT-MIB reference on hand to resolve the OID prefixes those child modules build upon. It is deployed wherever Paradyne/Net to Net Technologies DSL access multiplexers are managed via SNMP.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in NTNTECH-ROOT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
This module itself defines only OID branches such as ntntechChassis and ntntechInterfaceModule, with no runtime data objects to poll; a management system would instead use the companion ntntechChassisStatusMIB, organized under this root, to read actual chassis health data. There is no direct monitoring scenario for this root MIB since it is purely a naming-tree definition consumed by its child MIBs.
