What Is NMS-EAPS-MIB?

NMS-EAPS-MIB is a legacy proprietary MIB (built on NMS-SMI) implementing EAPS (Ethernet Automatic Protection Switching, RFC 3619-style ring protection). Its objects cover running-ring-instance count, PDU RX/TX counts, and a ring table (ID, node type, control VLAN, ports, state, health-check flag, hello/fail/preforward time, admin status, primary/secondary port and their state/status), alongside a ring-port table. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm an Ethernet ring's protection state and primary/secondary port role on this switch. It is deployed on legacy switching equipment with EAPS ring protection (NMS-SMI vendor line). Engineers can download the NMS-EAPS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in NMS-EAPS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor.
