What Is NETBOTZ-PRODUCTS-MIB?
NETBOTZ-PRODUCTS-MIB is a vendor-specific OID registration module for NetBotz (later acquired by APC/Schneider Electric), an environmental-monitoring appliance product line covering devices like WallBotz and RackBotz sensor pods used to watch data-center/rack conditions. Rather than defining monitorable data, this module simply enumerates a sysObjectID-style OBJECT IDENTIFIER tree naming every NetBotz product model, so that management stations can identify exactly which NetBotz hardware model an agent is running on. It therefore has no direct hardware/software status objects of its own—actual monitoring of temperature, humidity, airflow, camera/sensor state, and alarm conditions is carried out by the separate NetBotz environmental-monitoring MIB(s) that these product OIDs accompany, meaning NETBOTZ-PRODUCTS-MIB SNMP monitoring in the literal sense yields only a product-model identifier, not any environmental reading. Its only relationship to other MIBs is structural: it is referenced as the sysObjectID value reported by NetBotz devices, tying a discovered agent back to its specific product model for inventory purposes. It is deployed purely as an identification/registration aid within NetBotz environmental-monitoring deployments in data centers and network closets.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in NETBOTZ-PRODUCTS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- NetBotz/APC environmental monitoring appliance (any model, sysObjectID registry)
Monitoring Examples
This module contains no runtime tables or counters—it is strictly an OID naming tree (e.g., netBotz-prd-WallBotz-300, netBotz-prd-RackBotz-300U) used as a device's sysObjectID value for model identification. An NMS would use the returned sysObjectID to look up which specific NetBotz appliance model is deployed, then rely on the companion NetBotz environmental MIB for actual temperature/humidity/alarm polling. There is no monitoring scenario intrinsic to this module beyond product identification.
