sysZeroBase

Module: MRV-IN-REACH-SYSTEM-MIB

OID (symbolic): MRV-IN-REACH-SYSTEM-MIB::sysZeroBase

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.33.1.20

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Control to zero all base counters. In response to a get-request or get-next-request, the agent always returns 'ready' for this value. Setting the value to 'ready' has no effect. Setting it to 'execute' causes all the system's base counters to be zeroed. Examples of counters that are zeroed are the SNMP counters or the counters from the SYSTEM COUNTERS display. Examples of counters that are not zeroed are Ethernet interface counters or port counters. Corresponds to the ZERO SYSTEM command.

What is sysZeroBase?

Setting this to execute zeroes only the system's base counters, such as SNMP counters or SERVER COUNTERS display values, while leaving per-interface or per-port counters like Ethernet or port statistics untouched. A get always reads back ready.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.33.1.20
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> MRV-IN-REACH-SYSTEM-MIB::sysZeroBase

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.33.1.20.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> MRV-IN-REACH-SYSTEM-MIB::sysZeroBase.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.33.1.20.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> sysZeroBase.1
