What Is MERA-MIB?
MERA-MIB is a legacy proprietary MIB (enterprise OID 999, 'mera'/'mvts' branch) reporting VoIP/telephony call-traffic statistics, likely for a media/voice traffic switch (MVTS). Its objects cover active/average-5/max call counts, uptime, stat-time, call duration, received/normal/failed/rejected call counts, and a per-source (route/trunk) table (index, name, stat uptime, last-update time, ASR — Answer-Seizure Ratio — and its standard deviation, ACD — Average Call Duration, average QoS, max load, active calls, total time, and calls received/normal). As a performance MIB it lets an administrator watch call-completion (ASR/ACD) and load statistics per traffic source on this legacy VoIP switch. It is deployed on legacy VoIP/media traffic-switch (MVTS) equipment. Engineers can download the MERA-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in MERA-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
