Description: Provides managed objects for monitoring and managing Ethernet repeater (hub) functionality on Allied Telesis iTouch devices.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ITOUCH-REPEATER-MIB?
ITOUCH-REPEATER-MIB is a legacy ITOUCH Communications proprietary MIB (extending the standard BRIDGE-MIB) reporting Ethernet repeater/hub group status. Its objects cover an access-violation action, the local repeater group, FIFO-overflow count, LED display, reports setting, health/status-change/access-violation/integrity-loss/redundancy-path-change trap objects, and a group table recording SQE (Signal Quality Error) and jabber counts, segment, security lock, I/O card type/firmware version/operational status, management state, repeater number/hardware version, manager-repeater designation, and FIFO error count. As a hardware-status/notification MIB it lets an administrator watch for jabber and SQE conditions and get alerted on repeater health/integrity changes. It is deployed on legacy ITOUCH Communications repeater/hub equipment. Engineers can download the ITOUCH-REPEATER-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ITOUCH-REPEATER-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Legacy ITOUCH Communications repeater/hub equipment
Monitoring Examples
An administrator subscribes to repeaterIntegrityLossTrap to get alerted immediately if a legacy ITOUCH repeater loses ring/segment integrity.
What Can Be Monitored
- repeater group SQE/jabber counts and health notifications
