Category: Device Management

Description: IpomaNet II network management device MIB providing SNMP objects for device status and performance monitoring.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is IPOMANII-MIB?

This is Ingrasys's "IpomaNet II" MIB for network-managed power distribution units (PDUs), part of the vendor's ingrasys/product/pduAgent OID tree. It exposes device identification (manufacturer, model, agent software version) and agent-level time/NTP synchronization configuration. It is used to monitor hardware and software status—tracking the agent's software version and NTP time-synchronization state (whether time comes from NTP, the configured server, and time zone/DST settings), which matters for accurate event timestamping on the PDU. No explicit external MIB dependency is stated, though it likely coexists with standard PDU/UPS MIBs in rack power-management deployments. It is deployed on Ingrasys-manufactured networked PDUs in data center rack power-monitoring setups. Engineers can download the IPOMANII-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in IPOMANII-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Ingrasys networked power distribution units (PDUs)

Monitoring Examples

ipmIdentManufacturer, ipmIdentModel, and ipmIdentAgentSoftwareVersion let an admin confirm the exact PDU hardware/firmware in use, while ipmAgentTimeDate/ipmAgentTimeTime combined with ipmAgentTimerFromNtp and ipmAgentNtpIpAddress reveal whether the device's clock is properly synced to an NTP server. An admin would also check ipmAgentNetworkIpAdress to confirm the management IP is correct; a stale ipmAgentTimeDate despite ipmAgentTimerFromNtp being enabled would indicate an NTP sync failure.

What Can Be Monitored

  • PDU manufacturer/model/agent software version
  • NTP sync status and server address
  • time zone/daylight saving configuration
  • device network IP address
  • system date/time
