Description: Huawei WLAN MIB for managing Smart Antenna Controller (SAC) features including antenna selection and beamforming.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HUAWEI-WLAN-SAC-MIB?

HUAWEI-WLAN-SAC-MIB is a Huawei Technologies Co.,Ltd. proprietary MIB (built on HUAWEI-WLAN-MIB) reporting SAC (Smart Application Control), which classifies wireless traffic by protocol/application. Its objects cover a global SAC-enable operation and rule-library name, a protocol-group table (name, row status), a group-protocol membership table (protocol name, row status), and a per-VAP (Virtual Access Point) statistics table (AP name, radio ID, SSID, protocol index/name/type, upstream/downstream packet and byte counts, clear action, row status), with a companion per-user statistics table. As a configuration/performance MIB it lets an administrator watch per-application traffic volume on a Huawei wireless LAN controller. It is deployed on Huawei Technologies wireless LAN controllers (Smart Application Control). Engineers can download the HUAWEI-WLAN-SAC-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HUAWEI-WLAN-SAC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Huawei Technologies wireless LAN controllers (Smart Application Control)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks hwSACVapStatProtocolByteUpNum to watch per-application upstream traffic volume on a Huawei wireless LAN controller.

What Can Be Monitored

  • per-application/per-VAP traffic classification and volume
