What Is HUAWEI-WAN-MIB?

HUAWEI-WAN-MIB is a Huawei Technologies proprietary MIB reporting WAN interface-backup (IB) and 3G-modem status. Its interface-backup table, keyed by main interface, records up to three standby interfaces with priority, standby type/bandwidth, enable/disable thresholds, and active/inactive timers, while a 3G table records ifIndex, modem status, device number/manufacturer/license/serial number, UIM (SIM) status, and IMSI. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm WAN backup-interface failover thresholds and 3G modem/SIM status on a Huawei router. It is deployed on Huawei Technologies routers with WAN backup/3G interfaces. Engineers can download the HUAWEI-WAN-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HUAWEI-WAN-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
