Description: Huawei TRNG (Time Range) MIB for defining periodic and absolute time ranges used in ACL and policy scheduling.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HUAWEI-TRNG-MIB?

HUAWEI-TRNG-MIB is a Huawei Technologies proprietary MIB configuring named time ranges used to control when an ACL rule takes effect. Its create-timerange table, keyed by index, records name, valid flag, and row status, an absolute-time table records start/end time and row status per sub-index, and a periodic-time table records day-of-week, start/end time, and row status. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm a named time range's active window before verifying it against an ACL rule on a Huawei device. It is deployed on Huawei Technologies routers/switches (time-based ACL scheduling). Engineers can download the HUAWEI-TRNG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HUAWEI-TRNG-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Huawei Technologies routers/switches (time-based ACL scheduling)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks hwTimerangePeriodicStartTime and hwTimerangePeriodicDayofWeek to confirm a named time range's active schedule before an ACL rule referencing it takes effect on a Huawei device.
