Description: Manages Fibre Channel fabric login (FLOGIN/FLOGI) sessions and state on HP/Comware SAN switches.

Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HPN-ICF-FC-FLOGIN-MIB?
HPN-ICF-FC-FLOGIN-MIB is an HP Networking (Comware/H3C) vendor MIB for Fibre Channel SAN switches, representing Fabric Login (FLOGI) session information for devices logging into an FC fabric. It exposes a table of login entries keyed by port identity, capturing the node and port World Wide Names (WWNs), assigned Fibre Channel ID, buffer-to-buffer credit values, and supported service class parameters negotiated at login. For hardware/software status monitoring, this MIB is central to verifying that end devices and storage targets have successfully and correctly logged into the fabric, since a missing or repeatedly re-established FLOGI entry for a known WWN indicates a flapping SAN link, HBA problem, or fabric instability. It is specific to Fibre Channel fabric concepts (FC-FS, FC-GS standards) rather than an extension of a common IETF MIB. It is deployed on HP/H3C Comware Fibre Channel or FCoE SAN switches used to interconnect servers and storage arrays. Engineers can download the HPN-ICF-FC-FLOGIN-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HPN-ICF-FC-FLOGIN-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- HP/H3C Comware Fibre Channel SAN switches
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would poll hpnicfFcFLoginTable (via hpnicfFcFLoginIndex) and examine hpnicfFcFLoginPortWWN, hpnicfFcFLoginPortNodeWWN, and hpnicfFcFLoginPortFcId to confirm which storage initiators/targets are currently logged into the fabric and their assigned FC addresses. Comparing hpnicfFcFLoginRxBbCredit/hpnicfFcFLoginTxBbCredit against expected HBA capabilities can reveal a buffer-credit mismatch limiting throughput, and hpnicfFcFLoginSuppClassRequested shows which FC service class (e.g., Class 2 or 3) a device negotiated, with hpnicfFcFLoginClass2RxMTU/hpnicfFcFLoginClass3RxMTU exposing the negotiated frame size. A WWN disappearing from the table unexpectedly would indicate the corresponding SAN device has lost its fabric login.
What Can Be Monitored
- logged-in device port/node WWN
- assigned FC ID
- RX/TX buffer-to-buffer credit
- negotiated service class
- class 2/3 receive MTU
