Description: HP Networking ICF SNMP MIB version 2 for Device Link Detection Protocol (DLDP) with enhanced port state on HP networking devices.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HPN-ICF-DLDP2-MIB?

HPN-ICF-DLDP2-MIB is an H3C/HPE Networking (ICF) proprietary MIB implementing DLDP (Device Link Detection Protocol), a private Layer 2 protocol detecting and shutting down unidirectional fiber/copper links to prevent network problems. Its objects cover global enable, hello interval, authentication mode/password, unidirectional-shutdown flag, a per-port configuration table (enable), a port-status table (operational/link status), a neighbor table (bridge MAC, port index, status, aging time), and unidirectional-link/bidirectional-link trap enables. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm DLDP is detecting and shutting down a unidirectional link before it causes a network loop. It is deployed on H3C/HPE Networking (ICF-based) switches. Engineers can download the HPN-ICF-DLDP2-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HPN-ICF-DLDP2-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • H3C/HPE Networking (ICF-based) switches

Monitoring Examples

An administrator receives an hpnicfDldp2TrapUniLink trap and checks hpnicfDldp2PortOperStatus to confirm DLDP shut down a unidirectional fiber link on an H3C/HPE ICF switch.

What Can Be Monitored

  • DLDP unidirectional-link detection and neighbor status
