Description: HH3C version 2 MIB for time range configuration with enhanced periodic and absolute time range objects.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HH3C-TRNG2-MIB?
HH3C-TRNG2-MIB is version 2 of H3C's proprietary Time Range MIB, used to configure absolute (calendar-based) and periodic (recurring weekly) time windows that other features — most commonly ACLs and QoS policies — can reference so they become active only during specified times. It exposes configuration tables describing named time ranges, their validity flags, and the specific start/end times for each absolute or periodic sub-entry. Monitoring value here is primarily software/configuration status: confirming a time range is defined (hh3cTrangeName), currently valid (hh3cTrangeValidFlag), and that its absolute start/end times (hh3cTrangeAbsoluteStartTime/hh3cTrangeAbsoluteEndTime) are correctly scheduled, rather than any hardware telemetry. It has no dependency beyond the device's own clock/time-of-day and is typically referenced by ACL or QoS profile features that apply policy only within a matching time range. It is deployed in enterprise networks that need time-based access control, such as restricting internet access to business hours or applying different QoS during peak periods. Engineers can download the HH3C-TRNG2-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HH3C-TRNG2-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- H3C enterprise switches and routers
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would poll hh3cTrangeCreateTimerangeTable/hh3cTrangeCreateTimerangeEntry, indexed by hh3cTrangeIndex, to see all configured time ranges and confirm hh3cTrangeValidFlag shows a given range as active. Checking hh3cTrangeAbsoluteTable entries (keyed by hh3cTrangeAbsoluteNameIndex and hh3cTrangeAbsoluteSubIndex) against hh3cTrangeAbsoluteStartTime/hh3cTrangeAbsoluteEndTime verifies that a scheduled access restriction is set for the correct dates. An unexpected hh3cTrangeCreateRowStatus value would reveal a time-range entry that failed to activate as intended.
What Can Be Monitored
- time range name and validity flag
- absolute time range start/end times
- periodic time range schedule
- time range row status
