Description: Manages MPLS OAM protection switching (PS) for fast LSP failover and redundancy on H3C transport networks.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HH3C-MPLSOAM-PS-MIB?

HH3C-MPLSOAM-PS-MIB is an H3C proprietary MIB configuring MPLS protection switching, a feature that fails traffic over from a working LSP to a pre-established protect LSP on a fault. Its protection-switch table, keyed by index, names the group, working and protect LSP names, revertive-mode setting, wait-to-restore (WTR) timer, and hold-off timer, alongside a trap-enable control. As a configuration/protocol-status MIB it lets an administrator confirm which LSP pair is protecting which service and verify the WTR/hold-off timers match the intended failover behavior. It is deployed on H3C routers using MPLS LSP protection switching. Engineers can download the HH3C-MPLSOAM-PS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HH3C-MPLSOAM-PS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • H3C routers using MPLS LSP protection switching

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks hh3cMplsPsWorkLspName and hh3cMplsPsProtectLspName for a protection group to confirm the correct working/protect LSP pair is configured before a planned maintenance-induced failover test.

What Can Be Monitored

  • working/protect LSP mapping
  • WTR and hold-off timer configuration
