Category: Domain: WAN, Vendor: H3C/HH3C
Description: Manages Flexible Ethernet (FlexE) group configuration and sub-rate channel mapping on H3C transport interfaces.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HH3C-FLEXE-MIB?
HH3C-FLEXE-MIB manages Flexible Ethernet (FlexE) interfaces on H3C high-speed transport equipment, a technology that bonds physical Ethernet PHYs into groups and sub-rates them into logical channels — capability not covered by the standard interface MIBs (RFC 1213/2233). It exposes tables for FlexE sub-slot/physical-interface inventory, FlexE group configuration (group ID, row status), and time-slot granularity/mapping, plus a trap object for FlexE-related events. Monitoring focus is on the configuration/operational state of the FlexE group and its member PHYs — group membership, provisioning status, and time-slot allocation — reflecting the health and provisioning correctness of the transport interface rather than classic hardware sensors, alongside trap-driven fault notification. Its module description explicitly notes it exists to cover ground excluded by RFC 1213 and RFC 2233, so it complements rather than replaces the standard interface MIBs. It is deployed on H3C carrier/transport-class switches and routers offering FlexE interfaces for bandwidth-flexible high-speed links. Engineers can download the HH3C-FLEXE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HH3C-FLEXE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- H3C transport switches/routers (FlexE-capable)
Monitoring Examples
hh3cFlexEGroupTable/hh3cFlexEGroupEntry track each hh3cFlexEGroupID and its hh3cFlexEGroupRowStatus, letting an admin confirm a FlexE group is active and correctly provisioned. hh3cFlexESubSlotTable/hh3cFlexESubSlotEntry expose hh3cFlexEFrameIndex, hh3cFlexESlotIndex, and hh3cFlexESubTimeSlotGranular to verify sub-slot time-slot allocation matches the intended bandwidth carving, while hh3cFlexETrap/hh3cFlexETrapObjects notify on FlexE state changes such as a member PHY going down.
What Can Be Monitored
- FlexE group ID and row status
- FlexE sub-slot/frame/time-slot allocation
- FlexE physical interface state
- FlexE fault notifications
