Description: Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch LLPF (Link Layer Protocol Filtering) MIB for configuring per-port layer-2 protocol frame filtering.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is EdgeSwitch-LLPF-PRIVATE-MIB?

EdgeSwitch-LLPF-PRIVATE-MIB is a Broadcom (FastPath switch software, marketed under Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch and other OEM brands) proprietary MIB configuring Link Local Protocol Filtering (LLPF), which blocks specific Layer 2 control-plane protocols on a per-port basis. Its port-configuration table, keyed by port, records which protocol type is being filtered and whether that protocol's frames are blocked. As a configuration/security MIB it lets an administrator confirm which link-local protocols are filtered on a given port, useful for isolating guest or untrusted ports from control-plane traffic. It is deployed on Broadcom FastPath-based switches (including Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch). Engineers can download the EdgeSwitch-LLPF-PRIVATE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in EdgeSwitch-LLPF-PRIVATE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Broadcom FastPath-based switches (Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch and OEM variants)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks agentSwitchLlpfPortBlockMode for a guest-network port to confirm LLDP or spanning-tree BPDUs are being filtered as intended to isolate that segment on an EdgeSwitch.
