What Is ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-VRRP-CAP?
ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-VRRP-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module, not a data MIB; it declares which portions of the standard IETF VRRP-MIB (RFC 2787) are implemented by SNMP agents on Ericsson router platforms. It ties specific capability sets to Ericsson's SEOS software releases and identifies which product family, SmartEdge (SE), SM Metro Ethernet Service Transport, or Smart Service Router (SSR), the capability statement applies to. As a conformance module it exposes no runtime status data itself; instead it tells a management station which VRRP-MIB groups and objects it can actually rely on for a given Ericsson platform and SEOS version. It depends entirely on the standard VRRP-MIB (RFC 2787), whose object/group support it constrains per platform. It is used during NMS integration and compliance testing against Ericsson SE/SM/SSR routers rather than for day-to-day polling. Engineers can download the ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-VRRP-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
