Description: ENVIROMUX2D module

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ENVIROMUX2D?

ENVIROMUX2D is a vendor-specific MIB from Network Technologies Inc. (NTI) that models the ENVIROMUX-2D environmental monitoring appliance, registered under the enterprises.3699 (nti) arm as hardware object 9. It defines object groups and tables for internal and external sensors (intSensorsGrp, extSensorsGrp with intSensorValue, intSensorStatus, intSensorMinThreshold/MaxThreshold), dry-contact digital inputs (digInputsGrp), monitored IP devices (ipDeviceGrp), output relays, power supplies (pwrSupplyStatus), remote inputs/relays, smoke detectors, and a circular eventTable that logs system events. This gives facility and data-center operators SNMP-based visibility into temperature, humidity, power, intrusion contacts, and third-party device reachability from a single environmental monitoring unit. Its revision history shows continual expansion (Tac sensors, ACDC sensors, IP sensors, warning thresholds), reflecting NTI's growing sensor lineup, and administrators can search for the ENVIROMUX2D MIB to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ENVIROMUX2D. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • NTI ENVIROMUX-2D environmental monitoring unit

Monitoring Examples

An operator polls pwrSupplyStatus for each entry in the power-supply table to check redundant power health; a value of failed(0) instead of ok(1) would indicate a power supply has gone down and needs replacement before the unit loses redundancy.

What Can Be Monitored

  • internal/external sensor readings and thresholds (intSensorValue, extSensorValue, intSensorMinThreshold/MaxThreshold)
  • digital input (dry contact) state (digInputStatus)
  • power supply status (pwrSupplyStatus)
  • monitored IP device reachability (ipDeviceStatus)
  • output/remote relay state (outRelay, remoteRelays)
  • event log history (eventTable)
