Category: NTP

Description: Manages DATUM timing and frequency synchronization reference source configuration and alarms.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is DATUM-MIB?

DATUM-MIB is a legacy Datum, Inc. (enterprise OID 601, precision-timing/GPS clock vendor) proprietary root MIB module with no data objects defined in this iteration, reserving the base enterprise OID under which companion Datum timing-product MIBs register their objects. As a structural placeholder MIB it exists so Datum's precision-time-server product MIBs share a consistent OID branch. It underlies Datum, Inc. precision-timing/GPS clock products. Engineers can download the DATUM-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in DATUM-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Datum, Inc. precision-timing/GPS clock products

Monitoring Examples

A MIB browser loads DATUM-MIB automatically when parsing a companion Datum precision-timing product MIB, resolving the OID branch those modules' objects are registered under.
