Category: DASAN Networks, DSL / Broadband Access
Description: Monitors SHDSL line performance, margin, and error counters on Dasan DSL access equipment.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is DASAN-SHDSL-MIB?
DASAN-SHDSL-MIB is a Dasan Co., Ltd. proprietary MIB (extending the standard SHDSL-LINE-MIB via ADSL-LINE-MIB conventions) reporting G.SHDSL line status and remote-unit detail. Its line-status table, keyed by interface, records operational state, startup progress, firmware release, line-swap flag, remote country code, encoder A/B, remote provider code, local-detect state, TX power, framer sync, remote TOM data, drift alarm, receiver gain, BERT error, framer overhead/defects, remote firmware version, and UTOPIA cell-delineation/RX-cell/drop/HEC-error/TX-cell counts. As a performance/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm G.SHDSL line sync quality and watch UTOPIA cell-delineation errors on a Dasan SHDSL device. It is deployed on Dasan Co. G.SHDSL access equipment. Engineers can download the DASAN-SHDSL-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in DASAN-SHDSL-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Dasan Co. G.SHDSL access equipment
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks dsShdslOpState and dsShdslUtopiaRxHecErrorCnt to diagnose a degraded G.SHDSL line on a Dasan device.
What Can Be Monitored
- G.SHDSL line sync quality and UTOPIA cell-delineation errors

For special customer configurations, transmit data can be sampled upon either rising or falling edge of the transmit clock. |
| INT dsShdslTxFrmrPulseClkEdge | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6296.9.6.1.1.3.1.52 | INTEGER | read-write | This parameter is for Serial ATM applications only. It is recommended that the default value be used. For special customer configurations, the transmit frame pulse can be active upon either rising or falling edge. |
| INT dsShdslTxFrmrPulseLvl | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6296.9.6.1.1.3.1.54 | INTEGER | read-write | This parameter is for Serial ATM applications only. It is recommended that the default value be used. For special customer configurations, the transmit frame pulse can be either active high (1) or active low (0). |
| INT dsShdslTxPower | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6296.9.6.1.1.2.1.10 | INTEGER | read-only | This object identifies the local STU transmit power in tenths of a dBm. |
| INT dsShdslUtopiaCellDelineation | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6296.9.6.1.1.2.1.18 | INTEGER | read-only | This object indicates whether cell delineation has been found. |
| INT dsShdslUtopiaCellDropCnt | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6296.9.6.1.1.2.1.20 | INTEGER | read-only | This object indicates the number of UTOPIA cells dropped since the last time the object has been called. The maximum value is 0xFF. |
| INT dsShdslUtopiaDataBusWidth | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6296.9.6.1.1.3.1.56 | INTEGER | read-only | This parameter is used to specify width of UTOPIA data bus. |
| INT dsShdslUtopiaL2RxAddress | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6296.9.6.1.1.3.1.20 | INTEGER | read-only | This object selects the appropriate UTOPIA Level 2 address for the receive interface. |
| INT dsShdslUtopiaL2TxAddress | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6296.9.6.1.1.3.1.19 | INTEGER | read-only | This object selects the appropriate UTOPIA Level 2 address for the transmit interface. |
| INT dsShdslUtopiaRxCellCnt | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6296.9.6.1.1.2.1.19 | INTEGER | read-only | This object indicates the number of UTOPIA cells received since the last time the object has been called. The maximum value is 0xFFFF. |
| INT dsShdslUtopiaRxHecErrorCnt | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6296.9.6.1.1.2.1.21 | INTEGER | read-only | This object indicates the number of UTOPIA cells with HEC errors since the last time the object has been called. The maximum value is 0xFF. |
| INT dsShdslUtopiaTxCellCnt | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6296.9.6.1.1.2.1.22 | INTEGER | read-only | This object indicates the number of UTOPIA cells transmitted since the last time the object has been called. The maximum value is 0xFFFF. |
