What Is CYAN-DTM-MIB?
CYAN-DTM-MIB is a Cyan, Inc. enterprise MIB (later part of Ciena's packet-optical portfolio) that manages the Digital Transmission Module (DTM) line card in Cyan optical transport chassis, rooted under cyanEntityModules.cyanDtmModule. Its cyanDtmTable, indexed by cyanDtmShelfId and cyanDtmDtmId, is a large per-module entry exposing active/standby state (cyanDtmActivestandbyState), administrative and operational state (cyanDtmAdminState, cyanDtmOperState, cyanDtmOperStateQual), intake/exhaust temperature readings and their high/low alarm and warning thresholds, dual power-feed status and voltage (cyanDtmPwrFeedAStatus/Voltage, cyanDtmPwrFeedBStatus/Voltage), current draw, LED status indicators (active, alarm, power, sync LEDs), and hardware/firmware inventory fields (CLEI/ECI codes, part/serial numbers, current/revert/upgrade software build versions). An operator polls cyanDtmTable's cyanDtmIntakeAirTemp and cyanDtmExhaustAirTemp against their configured warning/alarm thresholds for a given cyanDtmShelfId/cyanDtmDtmId, and checks cyanDtmPwrFeedAStatus/cyanDtmPwrFeedBStatus for redundant power health; an exhaust temperature exceeding cyanDtmExhaustTempAlarmHighThres combined with one power feed reporting off would point to a cooling problem compounded by loss of power redundancy on that module.
