Category: Vendor: Aastra

Description: Manages the user driver subsystem for Aastra/ConvertedX WAN access equipment.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CXUDRV-MIB?

CXUDRV-MIB is a vendor-specific Aastra/ConvertedX MIB managing the user driver subsystem, a generic software layer on CX WAN access equipment used to expose custom or lower-level driver instances to management. Its object set centers on a single driver table, suggesting it provides a generic enumeration/status view of loaded user drivers rather than protocol-specific detail (which is covered by the other CX-series MIBs). For hardware/software status monitoring, udrvTable would be used to confirm which drivers are currently loaded/active on the device, serving as a basic software-inventory and health check that can reveal a missing or crashed driver instance. It works alongside the many protocol-specific CX MIBs (LAPB, MLPPP, ISDN, Ethernet, etc.) whose actual data-plane objects are exposed through this shared driver framework. It is typically deployed as an internal/support MIB on Aastra CX access devices rather than one queried directly for day-to-day operations. Engineers can download the CXUDRV-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CXUDRV-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Aastra ConvertedX (CX) WAN access device

Monitoring Examples

An operator or support engineer would poll udrvTable when troubleshooting a device that is failing to bring up a particular protocol module, to confirm the corresponding user driver instance is present and shows a healthy state. Because only one table is exposed, this MIB is used narrowly, mainly during deep diagnostics rather than routine dashboard monitoring.
