What Is CTRON-SSR-TRAP-MIB?

CTRON-SSR-TRAP-MIB is a Cabletron Systems (later Enterasys) proprietary MIB defining hardware-environment traps specific to the Smart Switch Router (SSR) platform. Its notification objects cover power-supply failure/recovery, fan failure/recovery, over-temperature and return-to-normal conditions, module hot-swap insertion/removal, and backup control-module online/failure events. As a hardware-status MIB it exists purely to give an administrator immediate SNMP-trap alerts on environmental and redundancy events on the SSR chassis. It is deployed on Cabletron/Enterasys Smart Switch Router platforms. Engineers can download the CTRON-SSR-TRAP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
