Category: Domain: Server Hardware, Vendor: HP/Compaq

Description: Monitors HPE OneView management platform alerts, server hardware status, and infrastructure health.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CPQOneView-MIB?

CPQOneView-MIB is a Compaq (enterprise OID 232, later HP) proprietary MIB for the Compaq Insight Manager/OneView management framework, exposing a MIB-revision pair and a consolidated hardware-alert model. Its alert objects report an overall condition summary alongside per-alert detail: resolution guidance, category, current state, whether the alert represents an ongoing lifecycle condition, the affected resource type, and a URI identifying that resource. As a hardware-status MIB it lets an administrator poll a single consolidated view of hardware health across Compaq/HP server components rather than querying each component-specific MIB individually. It is deployed on Compaq/HP ProLiant servers running Insight Manager agents. Engineers can download the CPQOneView-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CPQOneView-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Compaq/HP ProLiant servers running Insight Manager agents

Monitoring Examples

An administrator polls cpqOneViewAlertCategory and cpqOneViewAlertState to get a single consolidated summary of active hardware alerts across a ProLiant server's components, before drilling into the specific component MIB for detail.
