All MIBs › CONEL-XCCNT-MIB
Category: Vendor: Conel
Description: Monitors external contact and counter input states on Conel industrial router I/O modules.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CONEL-XCCNT-MIB?
CONEL-XCCNT-MIB is a Conel vendor MIB for the XC-CNT external contact and counter expansion module used with Conel industrial routers, extending the router's base I/O with additional analog inputs, pulse counters, and binary contacts. It exposes hardware I/O data: analog channel readings, incrementing counter values, binary contact states, and an output line, all mapped to physical terminals on the expansion module. Its monitoring value is squarely in hardware status: watching counter values for pulse-metering (e.g. flow or utility meters), analog readings for sensor levels, and binary contact states for alarms or door/tamper switches wired to the module, rather than software or CPU/memory metrics. It relies only on the vendor's own enterprise MIB structure and standard SNMP conventions, with no dependency on other standard MIBs. Typical deployment is industrial telemetry and remote monitoring sites where a Conel router with an XC-CNT module reports contact closures and counted pulses back to a central SCADA or NMS, making CONEL-XCCNT-MIB SNMP monitoring a core part of that remote telemetry pipeline.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CONEL-XCCNT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Conel industrial router with XC-CNT expansion module
Monitoring Examples
An operator would poll xccntCnt1 and xccntCnt2 to track incrementing pulse counts from attached meters, xccntAn1/xccntAn2 for analog sensor voltage or current readings, and xccntBin1 through xccntBin4 for the state of four binary contacts. A stalled xccntCnt1 value could indicate a failed meter or broken wiring, while an unexpected xccntBin state change could signal a door or panel intrusion. xccntOut1 lets the operator drive an output relay, for example to reset a connected device remotely.
What Can Be Monitored
- pulse counter value
- analog input reading
- binary contact state
- output relay state
