Category: Vendor: Conel

Description: Provides device identity, firmware version, and system information for Conel industrial router platforms.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CONEL-INFO-MIB?

This Conel (now Advantech/ICR) MIB provides basic device identity and firmware information for Conel industrial cellular routers, exposing product name, firmware version, and hardware identifiers such as serial number, IMEI, ESN, MEID, and ICCID (SIM identifier). It is essentially an inventory/identity MIB rather than a performance-counter MIB, but its infoFirmware object directly supports software-version monitoring, letting an admin verify all deployed routers are running an expected firmware release, important for fleet-wide patch/vulnerability management. The identity objects (infoSN, infoIMEI, infoICCID) also let a management system reliably distinguish devices and their inserted cellular SIM, which matters when a physical unit or SIM is swapped in the field. It is a self-contained proprietary module without notable dependency on other standard MIBs. It's deployed across fleets of Conel/Advantech industrial cellular routers in M2M/IoT and remote telemetry deployments where device and firmware inventory tracking at scale is required. Engineers can download the CONEL-INFO-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CONEL-INFO-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Conel/Advantech industrial cellular router

Monitoring Examples

An NMS polls infoFirmware across a fleet of routers to identify units still running an outdated version needing an upgrade, cross-referencing infoProduct to confirm hardware model compatibility before pushing an update. infoIMEI and infoICCID are checked together to detect if a router's SIM card has been swapped (ICCID changed) while the IMEI/hardware stayed the same, useful for tracking unauthorized SIM changes or troubleshooting connectivity issues tied to a new carrier.

What Can Be Monitored

  • firmware version
  • product/model identifier
  • device serial number
  • IMEI
  • SIM ICCID
