Description: Manages IP prefix lists used for route filtering on Cisco Small Business routing platforms.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCOSB-ippreflist-MIB?

CISCOSB-ippreflist-MIB is a Cisco Small Business proprietary MIB managing IP prefix lists, reusable named sets of IP address/prefix match rules commonly referenced by routing-policy or ACL configuration. Its prefix-list table, keyed by name and entry index, records entry type (rule vs. comment-only description), address type/address/prefix length, action, greater-than-or-equal/less-than-or-equal length bounds, description, hit count, and row status, alongside an info table (entries number, range-entries, next-free index). As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm a prefix list's match rules and watch its hit count to see how actively it's being matched. It is deployed on Cisco Small Business managed switches. Engineers can download the CISCOSB-ippreflist-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCOSB-ippreflist-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco Small Business managed switches

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks rlIpPrefListHitCount to confirm a configured IP prefix list is actively matching traffic as expected on a Cisco Small Business switch.
