What Is CISCO-WAN-VISM-ANNOUNCEMENT-CAPABILITY?
CISCO-WAN-VISM-ANNOUNCEMENT-CAPABILITY is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module, not a data-bearing MIB; it formally states which objects and features of the companion CISCO-WAN-ANNOUNCEMENT-MIB are actually implemented by Cisco's VISM (Voice Interworking Service Module) voice-announcement playback feature on WAN switching platforms. Rather than exposing counters or configuration, it is purely a conformance/compliance declaration used by NMS/SNMP tooling to know which announcement-related objects a given VISM agent supports. As such it carries no runtime hardware or software status information itself - no uptime, temperature, or job/queue data - and exists solely to describe implementation conformance for the referenced MIB. It is entirely dependent on and meaningless without CISCO-WAN-ANNOUNCEMENT-MIB, the MIB whose object support it describes. It is used internally by SNMP management tools during agent capability negotiation/discovery on Cisco MGX/VISM-based voice gateway platforms, not for day-to-day monitoring.
